Seligdar PJSC finished construction of a new laboratory complex of 3,000 square meters.
The Seligdar’s new laboratory is equipped with the cutting-edge machinery including two Herzog industrial robots that automatically split, crush and pulverize samples. These are the first laboratory robots of this level in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
Laboratory Information Management System will control all sample processing and analysis. Thus, the technological and organisational architecture of the new laboratory will reduce the cost of unproductive manual labour, ensure a completely paperless workflow, and ultimately, minimise the impact of the human factor on the results of laboratory analysis. It significantly increases the reliability of the results and reduces the need for re-analysis. The laboratory will serve the geological department, as well as ecologists and the technical control department of the Seligdar gold division. Due to the installation of special additional machinery, here also will be the work place of the research division of the ore treatment and processing department. The total capacity of the new laboratory is 1,000 samples per day.
CEO of Seligdar PJSC Sergey Tatarinov said:
‘Environmental control, operational exploration and development of the reserve base are the top priorities for any mining company. Having commissioned the new complex, we gain not only additional capabilities in these areas, but also additional accuracy and efficiency in quality control of technological processes and powerful research tool for the ore treatment department.’
