Polymetallic Holding Seligdar released about 220 thousand pelyad juvenile fish into the Vilyuy reservoir in Yakutia as part of a programme to reproduce aquatic biological resources and preserve their natural habitat.

The purchase and release of juveniles fish were carried out jointly with specialists from the State Unitary Enterprise Chernyshevskiy Rybovodny Zavod. The event aims to restore the natural balance and reproduce aquatic biological resources.

Seligdar pays special attention to compliance with federal environmental legislation requirements and annually conducts activities to reproducе aquatic resources. Reclamation and compensation measures are integral parts of mining operations at Seligdar's production complexes.

According to the Annual Report of the Seligdar for 2023, last year the Company also released 232,000 pelyad juvenile fish into the Vilyuy reservoir for a total value of more than 800 thousand Russian roubles. During the construction of the Suluk settlement - Pravourmiyskiy complex road in the Khabarovsk region, about 950 thousand Russian roubles were allocated for releasing juvenile fish into fishery-important water bodies. Besides, last year, Seligdar conducted reclamation work on 111 hectares of land as a part of reforestation in Yakutia.

The total cost of land, surface and groundwater protection and rehabilitation, biodiversity preservation, and natural areas protection amounted to 9.5 million Russian roubles in 2023.
