Rusolovo PJSC (a part of the Seligdar Polymetallic Holding) and the Government of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug entered into a cooperation agreement. The agreement implies implementation of joint education and scientific research projects, cooperation in the field of target education of industry-oriented specialists and creation of new jobs in the tin mining industry on the territory of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.

The document was signed by the President of Rusolovo PJSC Evgeniy Kolesov and acting deputy Governor of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug Anton Yaremchuk.

An important dimension of the cooperation will be introduction of innovative methods, means and forms into the education process that would allow forming a specialist pool based on the Company’s demands. Students who study specialist programmes to become qualified workers, white-collar workers, mid-level professionals may undertake paid internship at the Rusolovo PJSC’s assets located in the Chukotka Autonomous district and have an opportunity to receive a job offer.

Vladislav Kuznetsov, acting Governor of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug:

‘The signed agreement with Rusolovo is a part of the long-term plan on the development of the Okrug. We see the pattern of the region development in 3, 5, 7 years. We know our growth areas. The development of the Pyrkakay stockworks incurs creation of one more large-scale enterprise that will provide job opportunities. In order for local residents to be able to claim these jobs, the system of the professional education in the region is to be changed and we are already doing it. Rusolovo contributed to the compilation of the list of professions that would be in demand in the near future. The educational institutions of the region will open new programmes’.

‘Our Company has been cooperating with the industry-oriented educational institutions of the country for more than 7 years. We contribute to renewal of the academic curriculums, start of the new degree programmes at the regional universities and vocational high schools. It is very important in terms of implementation of the Pyrkakay stockworks development project to create a high-qualified talent pool with a perspective to work at the Rusolovo PJSC’s enterprises in their native region’.
