Head of Sakha Republic (Yakutia) held working meeting with top management of Seligdar Polymetallic Holding

02.04.2024

Seligdar Polymetallic Holding (hereafter Seligdar) announces that a working meeting was held in Moscow between the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aysen Nikolaev and the President of Seligdar PJSC Konstantin Beirit, at which the prospects for the development of the Seligdar's activities in the region were discussed, and the results of work in 2023 were summed up.

Last year, Seligdar updated its historical maximum in gold mining. In 2023, the Company increased its production of Doré gold by 10% to a record figure of 8.27 tonnes, of which 7.6 tonnes were mined by companies located in Yakutia. Seligdar continued to actively work on the modernisation of production sites and the expansion of the mineral reserve base. Seligdar PJSC is one of the largest taxpayers in Yakutia: more than 3.7 billion Russian roubles were allocated to the regional budget in 2023.

One of the main topics was the implementation of major investment projects. In the Aldan district, a large-scale construction of a gold processing plant with a production capacity of 3 million tonnes of ore per year is underway at the Khvoyny production complex. Currently, the Company's specialists are installing metal structures of the main building and are building a filtration facility. The foundations for the main buildings of the production complex have been prepared. The launch of the Khvoyny plant will allow the Company to step over an important production line and start producing 10 tonnes of gold annually.

Last year, exploration was completed ahead of schedule at another strategically important project for the Company, the Kyuchus gold deposit, and preliminary results of exploratory technological research were obtained. Also in 2023, Seligdar obtained a license to develop the flanks of the Kyuchus ore field. This will extend the mine life of the deposit by increasing the mineral reserve base to 250-280 tonnes of gold. In March of the current year, preparatory work began for the organisation of a future shift-workers camp at the deposit and the delivery of Seligdar’s special equipment to the site .
