Seligdar PJSC in cooperation with specialists of Informzaschita has completed a project of integration of a Russian system for auditing and monitoring information resources Makves DCAP (Data-Centric Audit and Protection). The implemented project allowed Seligdar to switch to an import-independent solution, automate the process of data management in the IT infrastructure and reduce 4-fold labour costs.
The concept of DCAP emerged as a response to the rapid growth of unstructured content. The latter is related to the information that employees of organisations leave on local computers, corporate portals, mail servers, network-attached and cloud storages. Often it contains files with personal data, commercially confidential information and other documents important for the company – and all it may be freely accessed. This information travels across the corporate network, undergoes changes, and it is therefore not easy for IT departments to control. DCAP products help you determine critical data in a company’s infrastructure, as well as determine who has access to it and how it is used.
‘While choosing a system, we focused on domestic solutions, which offer a tool that addresses our demand and which provide prompt technical support in Russian. The integrator immediately suggested Makves DCAP – other solutions did not fully meet our requirements, were more expensive and demanded more resources to deploy the system’, told Timur Shcherbinko, head of IT division of Seligdar PJSC.
‘The integration of DCAP automated the process and allowed us to quickly identify and eliminate deficiencies in record time’, explains Evgeniy Zaytsev, head of cybersecurity division of security directorate of Seligdar PJSC.
Informzaschita implemented the project to integrate Makves DCAP into Seligdar enterprises in three stages: preparation for integration, pre-commissioning tests and commissioning. First, the integrator specialists defined sources for analysis and monitoring, platforms and resources for system deployment, accesses and permissions, as well as input filtering rules for events. At the second stage, the installation and configuration of Makves DCAP components on all platforms were completed, the draft working documentation was developed and approved, Informzaschita experts tested and eliminated all identified shortcomings. During the commissioning of the system, an additional adjustment of Makves DCAP was performed.
