Polymetallic Holding Group Seligdar (hereinafter referred to as Company or Seligdar) completed the design of a gravity tailings flotation unit at the Poisk production complex in the Altai region and began preparations for the expert review of the construction. This will allow the Company to obtain copper-gold concentrate from gravity tailings, thereby increasing the economic efficiency of initial gold ore processing at the gold plant.
Last year, the Company's specialists conducted a technical and economic comparison of the schemes for processing gravity tailings at the Murzinskoye-1 deposit to select the economically optimal option for ore processing. The most effective option was the introduction of a gravity tailings flotation scheme following the sale of the concentrate to non-ferrous smelters.
Currently, the plant reconstruction project is put up for public discussion.
The design capacity of the Poisk gold plant is 200 thousand tonnes of skarn ore per year, from which it is planned to extract about 200 kg of gold annually. In 2023, the Poisk plant exceeded the plan: about 2.3 million m³ of run-of-mine material were processed, 262 thousand tonnes of ore were obtained. The volume of gold production amounted to 419 kg. The gold reserves of the production complex as of January 1, 2024 amount to 1,031 kg (in the C1+C2 categories).
The Poisk production complex operates two mines – Murzinskoye and Vostochny allotment (Tolstukha), and also conducts active geological exploration. In 2024, additional reserves of oxidised ores from the Murzinskoye deposit are expected to be registered in the Stated Balance of Mineral Reserves.
Besides, within the framework of the contract with RosGeo, exploration is being carried out on a promising project – Kuryinskaya area. The Holding Group's specialists drilled more than 8 thousand square meters out of the planned volume of 12 thousand square meters, drilled trenches for more than 21 thousand m³, and tested over 3,200 samples.
The preliminary results confirm the data previously obtained by other organisations during prospecting and evaluation at the Kuryinskaya area. By the end of 2024, additional geological exploration is planned, which includes electrical exploration, hydrogeological studies, laboratory work to complement geochemical studies and core drilling to verify the anomalies identified during the studies. After analyzing the data obtained, the Holding Group will start developing regulations and searching for technology for mining the deposit. This process should be completed by the end of the 3rd quarter of 2025.
