In Yakutia, students started studying under the Arctic Quantum federal network programme. The programme is implemented within the framework of the federal project Talents to the Regions by the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) on the basis of the NEFU Institute of Physics and Technology.
The implementation of the programme became possible thanks to the agreement signed in April this year between Seligdar and the Trust Fund for Future Generations of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the M.K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University on the development of engineering education for young people and the training of industry specialists in Yakutia.
The programme provides students in the specialisation in Physics, major in Fundamental Physics with a unique opportunity to study with MIPT teachers in pre-agreed disciplines. 18 first-year students study the following subjects: mechanics, molecular physics and electricity with magnetism. Each discipline includes lectures and practicals. Laboratory classes will be conducted by teachers of the NEFU Faculty of Physics and Technology in a traditional full-time form at the university.
The academic programme combines the best practices and teaching methodologies of two leading educational institutions, and this guarantees a high level of student training. Participants in the programme will have access to unique educational materials and consultations with highly qualified specialists. This will increase their competitiveness in the labour market and in academic environment.
