Seligdar PJSC (MOEX: SELG, hereafter Holding or Seligdar), a Russian gold and tin producer, announces opening of a Seligdar ski slope in the Aldan region of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). A formal ceremony took place on February 26, 2022, and was attended by Alexander Bugaev, Deputy Minister of Sport of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Rasil Khaliullin, acting Head of the administration of the Aldan municipal region, Vladimir Shedko, acting Head of the Aldan town municipal settlement, and Sergei Tatarinov, CEO of Seligdar.
Building of a 650-meters piste was performed under the cooperation agreement between the Holding and the Republican Olympic Reserve ski sports school, a State budgetary institution of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Seligdar pitched in its construction as long ago as in 2017 and conducted works of grubbing, levelling and forming of a ski run.
Lifts and lighting equipment were assembled and installed at the piste last year. A complex development of the skiable terrain is planned for the further period; infrastructure facilities including ski rental shops, cafes, food courts will be built at the terrain, which exceeds 52 thousand square meters. Besides, Seligdar will provide athletes of the Junior team with a modern ski uniform, will support the ski events and launch individual scholarship programs for trainees of the Republican Olympic Reserve ski sports school.
“The Seligdar ski slope will definitely contribute to the development of mountain skiing and sports industry in South Yakutia and promote winter tourism in the region as a whole,” stated Sergei Tatarinov, CEO of Seligdar.
