Polymetallic Holding Company Seligdar PJSC acted as a sponsor of the inaugural International Festival-Competition ‘Symphony of Kindness’, taking place in Yakutsk from 23 to 30 June.
‘Symphony of Kindness’ is one of the key cultural initiatives in the Russian Far East in 2025. Seligdar places strong emphasis on supporting social and cultural initiatives in the regions in which it operates. The involvement in the organisation of this festival marks another step in fostering children’s and youth creativity, while also strengthening international cultural ties.
The competition aims to serve as a cultural platform for professional dialogue, educational exchange, and intercultural cooperation, with a particular focus on enhancing humanitarian engagement across the Asia-Pacific region. The event is jointly organised by the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, and the Higher School of Music of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The competition will bring together participants from all regions of the Russian Far East as well as from Asia-Pacific countries, including China, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan.
The festival will feature auditions and performances in 18 categories across key areas of musical performance: piano, strings, woodwind and brass instruments, percussion, academic vocal performance, and chamber ensembles. Participants include musicians aged 12 and above.
One of the central outcomes of the competition will be the formation of the first Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Far Eastern Federal District. Comprising winners of the competition, the orchestra will provide a springboard for the professional development of young talents.
