Seligdar stocked several reservoirs in Yakutia with fish
30.07.2026
Seligdar PJSC (MOEX: SELG; hereinafter referred to as the "Holding" or "Seligdar") carried out several events yesterday to replenish aquatic biological resources in Yakutia.
One of these events took place in the shallows of the Ulakhan-Siligile River (a right tributary of the Aldan River), 70 km upstream from its confluence with the Aldan River. Together with employees of the Tommot fish hatchery, 3,300 juvenile lenok were released to replenish the fish fauna of the Lena basin. The event was attended by Yevgeny Perfilyev, Minister of Ecology, Nature Management, and Forestry of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), and Nikolay Kucherov, head of the East Siberian Territorial Administration of the Federal Agency for Fisheries.
The stocking site was located in a remote area, far from populated areas. The stocking of the river was carried out in the vicinity of the Seligdar Polymetallic Holding. The Ulakhan-Siligile River is a unique environmental project that has successfully developed a biotechnology for the artificial reproduction of East Siberian grayling for the first time in the region.
Experimental work on the river began in 2023. As part of the program for the artificial replenishment of aquatic biological resources in the Lena River basin approved by the Federal Agency for Fisheries, the river has been restocked on a regularly scheduled basis.
Also, in collaboration with the Chernyshevsky Fish Hatchery and with the participation of representatives of the Federal Agency for Fisheries, Seligdar conducted two releases of aquatic biological resources totaling approximately 367,000 peled into the Vilyui Reservoir in the Mirny District.
Seligdar pays special attention to compliance with federal environmental legislation and annually implements measures to restore aquatic biological resources by releasing aquatic biological resources into the Vilyui Reservoir, and starting this year, into the Lena River basin, the Aldan River, and its tributaries. Reclamation and compensation measures are an integral part of mining operations at all Seligdar production sites.
