Polymetallic Holding Group Seligdar (MOEX: SELG; hereinafter referred to as the “Holding Group” or “Seligdar”) planted over 600,000 Siberian and Scots pine seedlings in the Aldan district of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
The planting campaign covered an area of more than 192 hectares. The pine seedlings, sourced from the Khabarovsk region, underwent the necessary adaptation and acclimatisation prior to planting. According to the Holding Group’s specialists, between 2,500 and 3,000 coniferous seedlings were planted per hectare.
The initiative was carried out as part of Seligdar’s land rehabilitation and environmental reclamation programmes. In recent years, thanks to the Holding Group’s environmental projects, reforestation was conducted across more than 700 hectares. 720,000 seedlings were planted in the last year alone, as reported in the Annual Report. Forest restoration is a component of Seligdar’s comprehensive ESG strategy, which the company pursues as a responsible subsoil user, fulfilling its obligations to the state.
