Polymetallic Holding Group Seligdar (hereinafter referred to as Seligdar or Holding Group) planted more than 720 thousand tree seedlings on an area of over 363 hectares in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) this year.

Rehabilitation and compensation measures are an integral part of mining operations at all production sites of Seligdar. This year, seedlings were planted using new technologies, which resulted in good survival and growth of trees. The seedlings were brought in the autumn of 2023 and left on the sites for wintering. In August this year, the seedlings were planted in the soil. After winter acclimatisation, they took root well and grew by 15-20 cm in two months, despite not having the most favourable conditions: hot weather and uneven precipitation, the survival rate of seedlings was about 65%.

In 2024, Seligdar allocated about 90 million Russian roubles for reforestation; part of the funding was used for agrotechnical care of forest plantations in the Neryungrinskiy district, where the Company's specialists monitor the results of past plantings covering a total area of over 271 hectares of forest land.
