Seligdar Polymetallic Holding (MOEX: SELG, hereafter Seligdar or Company), a Russian gold and tin producer, was ranked 36th among 160 companies in the updated November ESG Ranking of Russian companies designed by the Rating Agency RAEX.
The Rating Agency presented updated ESG-ranking of 160 Russian companies on November 1, 2023. RAEX Agency updated assessment of 37 Russian companies and considered Seligdar’s results for 2022. Seligdar improved its position by 17 and moved up from being 53rd to 36th compared to the November 2022 ranking which based on the company’s data for 2021. Seligdar ranked 3rd among 10 gold mining companies included in the ranking. The Seligdar’s position in the ranking corresponds to ‘BB’ level of the Agency’s ESG rating scale.
In the updated ranking Seligdar was ranked 51st by environmental factors (E), 36th by social indicators (S) and 15th by corporate governance (G). In the ranking published in November 2022, Seligdar was ranked 73rd, 45th and 20th correspondingly. Thus, the Company showed a significant increase in all the constituents of the ESG ranking.
For the first time Seligdar was included in the RAEX ESG Ranking in April 2021 and gained 73rd position among 110 companies. RAEX Europe issues the Ranking since 2018; the Methodology can be found on the Agency’s website.
