On March 28-30, 2023, Seligdar held its Technical Council in a hybrid format: the Holding's management visited Yerevan to study the best practices, the heads of all major structural divisions made presentations through video conferencing from Aldan town.
The Seligdar’s management visited a plant of GeoProMining Gold LLC, namely, Ararat, in order to study flotation and finest grinding, the Albion Process technology and the work of the analytical laboratory. The plant was put in operation in 2014 and reached its design capacity in just three months. The Albion technology allowed GeoProMining Gold LLC to successfully increase recovery from sulphide ores from 20% to more than 95%.
The tradition to visit various mining production sites in search of best practices was laid down by the first President of Seligdar, Anatoliy Labun. Owing to this approach to management, Seligdar was the first in Russia to apply heap-leaching technology in the severe conditions of the North.
The participants of the Technical Council also presented the operating results for 2022 and discussed all operational issues, including an action plan to improve the economic efficiency of processes in 2023, a work plan to expand the Holding’s mineral resource and reserve base and issues of occupational health and safety. A separate discussion was devoted to the progress of the Khvoynoye project and issues of infrastructure, geology, and beneficiation at the Kyuchus deposit.
