Polymetallic Holding Seligdar (hereafter Seligdar; MOEX: SELG) started studies for technology to develop the Kyuchus deposit. The main objective is to develop comprehensive documentation that will include justification for the investments in the construction of a production complex based on the international experience and technologies as well as requirements of the Russian legislation.
Leading foreign and Russian consulting and engineering companies are involved into the studies. Earlier, representatives of the Chilean company REDCO Mining Consultants, which has extensive competencies in mining planning and geomechanical justification, visited the Seligdar’s production complexes.
The Chinese company BGRIMM Technology and the Russian SPb-Giproshakht LLC will act as co-contractors for the documentation development. BGRIMM has completed more than 600 engineering projects in the field of metallurgy in 40 countries around the world. The company specialises in the engineering of beneficiation and metallurgical processes, as well as the comprehensive implementation of projects for the construction of processing and metallurgical plants and the equipment supply. The SPb-Giproschakht Company is involved in the project to adapt technical solutions of the foreign colleagues and to develop design surveys for complex and infrastructure facilities.
The formation of such an international consortium will help Seligdar to take into account the available global and domestic experience, prepare an international-level report with mineral resources and ore reserve estimates according to the JORC code, maximize the industrial reproducibility of the technology and ensure that the technology being developed meets the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation.
In 2023, Seligdar carried out geological exploration and received preliminary results of technological research to determine the most optimal technology for processing ore from the Kyuchus deposit. In 2024, Seligdar plans to begin engineering surveys for the design of linear facilities, as well as to conduct an environmental assessment at the deposit.
