Poisk mines more than half of the gold in the Altai region

Seligdar PJSC announces that its business unit in the Altai region, production complex Poisk produced 65% of all the gold mined in the Altai region in 2022.

Total of more than 740 kg of gold was mined in the Altai region in 2022, including 477 kg of gold attributable to the production complex of the Seligdar Holding.

The significant contribution to the gold mining development in the Altai region is the result of the integrated approach of the Holding to the technological development.

Last year, Poisk re-organised and increased production, performed a programme to expand its resource base. The reserves of the Murzinskoye and Tolstukha deposits comprised 1,394 kg of gold for the beginning of 2023. Prospecting and estimation works are being conducted together with RosGeo at other deposits in the region: Semenovskaya and Kuryinskaya areas, Murzinskoye-3 deposit.

The gold skarn ore processing plant was put into pilot operations in 2022. The plant’s design capacity is 200 thousand tonnes per year. New equipment was purchased: mills, pumps, gravity separators. New specialised machinery was delivered.

‘Development of all the production sites of the Seligdar Holding is being carried out continuously and comprehensively and is not related to the region of operations. Every year we work to increase efficiency and improve working conditions. The Seligdar PJSC’s working camps meet demands of comfort, safety; they are modern and comfortable complexes with canteens, laundries, medical aid posts, bathing complexes and sports areas. Particularly, two new dormitories for 110 beds were commissioned in the Altai region in late 2022', noted the Seligdar PJSC’s CEO Sergey Tatarinov.
