First Deputy to the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Kirill Bychkov, Minister of the Industry and Geology of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Maksim Tereschenko and the Head of the Aldan district of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aleksandr Shestopalov discussed a number of important for the region issues at the business meeting with CEO of Seligdar PJSC (hereafter Seligdar or Holding) Sergey Tatarinov.

CEO of Seligdar PJSC Sergey Tatarinov talked about current operations of the Holding and paid special attention to the company’s development in the Republic and in the Aldan town. Yakutia the is main region of the Seligdar PJSC’s gold mining and accounts for 87% of gold production in 2022. Last year, the Holding companies produced 7.55 tonnes of gold including 6.9 tonnes in Yakutia.

The government of the Republic noticed the outpacing exploration at the Kyuchus deposit, proactive machinery contracting for the gold processing plant with the capacity of 3 million tonnes of ore at the Khvoynoye deposit, as well as the company's contribution to the development of processing technologies. A the year-end, by the Decree of the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Seligdar Holding was conferred a National Award in Material Production for commissioning of a sulphide ore preliminary thermal treatment facility at the Samolazovskiy production complex.

The meeting participants also discussed social issues including employment of the local citizens. A the end of 2022, 799 Seligdar’s employees were residents of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), during the last year 304 persons were hired under the Programme ‘Local Personnel into Industry’ in Yakutia.

Besides, the discussion separately touched the issues of the celebration of the Aldan town’s centenary in September. By the landmark date, Seligdar plans to finish revamping of the Labun Street and phase one construction of thgthdfe residential settlement Seligdar Village: 22 panel and 12 lumber houses. Seligdar also sponsors a memorial gift to Aldan town and its citizens: production of a short documentary on the town’s history and development.
