On October 30, 2025, Gennadiy Fyodorovich Pivyen, President of the Academy of Mining Sciences, an outstanding leader in the mining industry, Doctor of Technical Sciences, and an Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RANS) and the International Academy of Mineral Resources, passed away.
