A chess tournament was held in the center of Yakutsk in honor of the anniversary of Seligdar

In honor of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the polymetallic Holding Group Seligdar (MOEX: SELG; hereinafter referred to as the “Holding Group” or “Seligdar”), the Chess Federation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) organized a simultaneous game on 50 boards with the participation of players of the national team of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Arseniy Chumaevsky and Artur Vasiliev, as well as 50 chess fans from different parts of the republic - Srednekolymsky, Olekminsky, Ust-Aldansky, Tattinsky, Churapchinsky, Gorny, Khangalassky districts, as well as from the city of Tomsk.
The event was dedicated to the International Chess Day and the 50th anniversary of the company "Seligdar". The Holding constantly supports the initiatives of the Chess Federation of the republic.
Arseniy Chumaevsky has repeatedly won and taken prizes at prestigious tournaments, including international competitions and championships of the Far Eastern Federal District. In 2024, he won a silver medal at the Russian Junior Championships under 19 and is a candidate for master of sports. His partner, Artur Vasiliev, is a multiple champion and prize winner of the Far Eastern Federal District Youth Championships and also has the qualification of candidate for master of sports.
An alternative chess session is a simultaneous game session in which several players participate at once, making moves one after the other, without consulting each other.

The event became a real celebration of chess culture and contributed to strengthening the sporting spirit among all fans of the ancient intellectual game.
