One of Russia’s largest gold deposits, Kyuchus, located in the Arctic zone of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), is currently being prepared for development.
The deposit hosts 175 tonnes of gold in reserves, with further exploration expected to increase this figure to 250–280 tonnes. In 2024, Seligdar Holding Group completed the exploration and research phase and moved into the stage of preparing technological processing regulations based on at least two alternative processing technologies, which will subsequently be subject to detailed technical and economic evaluation and comparison.
The Holding Group engaged leading Russian research institutions, including Irgiredmet, Uralmekhanobr, NIETZ Technologies, and NUST MISIS University, to identify the optimal processing technology. Besides, Seligdar entered into cooperation agreements with international partners that already have practical experience in developing deposits similar to Kyuchus.
The establishment of an international consortium enables Seligdar to draw on both global and domestic expertise when selecting the most efficient deposit development scenario, to ensure maximum assessment of industrial scalability of the chosen technology, and to guarantee full compliance of the project with the regulatory requirements of the Russian Federation.
