The Khvoynoye gold processing plant of the Polymetallic Holding Group Seligdar (MOEX: SELG) has produced its first gold. This was announced during the annual Investor Day at the Moscow Exchange.
The plant is currently operating in a pilot testing mode. At this stage, the production processes for processing ore from the Khvoynoye deposit in the Aldan District of Yakutia are being fine-tuned and adjusted. To date, over 200 kg of gold has been produced. As previously reported, in 2026 Seligdar plans to produce approximately one tonne of precious metal at the Khvoynoye gold processing plant.
To date, the Holding Group's specialists have already carried out a significant amount of preparatory work, completed testing of the process flow diagram and conducted hydraulic equipment tests. This has provided the necessary information on equipment readiness, environmental safety compliance, and fulfilment of all regulatory requirements for commissioning work.
It is worth noting that in 2025, Seligdar's gold mining division exceeded its production plan and, in mid-December, approached the milestone of 8 tonnes of gold mined. This was made possible by the stable operation of the main production complexes throughout the year.
The design capacity of the plant is 3 million tonnes of ore and 2.5 tonnes of gold per year. The Khvoynoye gold processing plant is Seligdar's highest-capacity and fourth gold processing plant, as well as the largest such facility in Yakutia. Its launch will increase the share of gold processed via plant-based technologies in the Holding Group to 50 per cent, which will improve the Holding Group's financial performance in terms of working capital.
