Head of Yakutia visited construction site of living quarter for Seligdar employees

Aysen Nikolaev, head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), visited a construction site of a living quarter for the Seligdar PJSC’s employees.  

A residential settlement is being constructed on territory of 8 hectares and comprises 40 cottages, 2 townhouses, a school and a kindergarten. Completion of the project is planned for 2024.

The Head of Yakutia appreciated progress and scale of construction and wished to finish the project on schedule.

Currently a revamp of a street named after Anatoliy Labun, first Seligdar’s President, is in progress. The street will get a pedestrian sidewalk of 520 m, sewers for exhaust rain or melt water, good street lighting and a children playground.

Total area to be covered with asphalt amounts to 3.5 thousand m2.

Preparation works, grading and levelling of the site, exterior finishing of houses, assembling of a boiler station, general utilities and power grids of houses are in progress.

At the business meeting with Aysen Nikolaev, Seligdar PJSC’s CEO Sergey Tatarinov spoke about the results of the Company’s work in Yakutia in 2021, plans for 2022 including that to develop the Kyuchus deposit and about Holding’s long-term  strategy up to 2030.

The Seligdar’s companies operating in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) employ more than 2 thousand people with 37% of them being local residents. All the Holding’s companies employ in total more than 750 residents of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

Seligdar PJSC pays much attention to personnel support. The Holding allocated 64.38 million Russian roubles to personnel support programmes in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

The employees are provided with comfortable and safe working conditions. A programme  of working camps infrastructure development was launched in 2021. Capital renovation of residential buildings and construction of new dormitories are in progress. Two modular dormitories for 154 beds have been constructed to the moment at Nizhne-Yakokitskiy production complex.

Seligdar pays close attention to assure compliance with all the necessary environmental standards. Under the programme of air emission reduction the Holding invested 57.8 million Russian roubles in project of fume treatment system for sulphide ore furnace at Samolazovskiy production complex in 2021.

As part of its social policy, Seligdar is traditionally involved in charity, renders support to local residents, healthcare, cultural and educational institutions of the Aldan district.

Seligdar donates to non-profit organisations focused on development of sports and healthy lifestyle. In 2022, Seligdar entered into agreement with the Republican Olympic Reserve ski sports school to provide biathlon and ski athletes of the Junior team with a modern ski uniform, as well as launched an individual scholarship programme for Ski Sports School trainees. A Seligdar ski slope was opened in the Alan district in February 2022.

Seligdar also supported official celebration devoted to the 100th anniversary of the Yakutian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic and allocated over 4 million Russian roubles.

Balance gold reserves of Seligdar PJSC located in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) comprised 226,762 kg as of January 1, 2022. In 2022, Seligdar started exploration of the Khokhoy ore field and the Kyuchus deposit.
